Pat played locally for Brian Diatti at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale where he won the medal of dedication for two years. After graduating high school, he played at De Anza for Scott Hertler, and then was recruited to play at the University of Pacific in Stockton for the 05 season. Pat then transferred to Greensboro College where he finished out his college baseball career and graduated with a degree in Kinesiology. Pat holds the records for most homeruns and RBI in a season, and is tied for most career homeruns. Pat played professionally for the New York State League and the Arizona Winter League in '07 & 08'. He was the #5 draft pick overall in the Golden League for the Yuma Scorpions. He finished his last season with the Continental Baseball League where he held player of the week and CBL All-Star game honors for the Texarkana Gunslingers.
