Winter Prep Team Practices: Nov 16th-Jan 29th

 

ARM STREGNTHENING FOCUS:

  • Workouts & throwing program that build and increase arm strength
  • Average velocity improvement over last 4 years = 4.4 MPH
  • Proper throwing warm up
  • Post throwing workout
  • Velocity testing to track progression
  • Pitchers = builds velocity & endurance
  • Position players = stronger & healthier arm

 

WINTER PREP FOCUS:

  • Fundamental throwing & glove drills
  • Individual defensive repetitions at each position
  • Team Defense/situations
  • Base running: jumps, reads, turns, situations, and pitchers tendencies
  • Full Intra-squad games with pitchers throwing to hitters
  • Advanced hitting & bunting mechanics

 

TIMES: Arm Strengthening: 

JV: Mon & Wed 7:30-9:00pm @ ASA

Varsity: Tue & Thu 7:30-9:00pm @ ASA

Winter Prep Team Practices: 

Facility Practice:

JV: Wed 6:00-7:30pm @ ASA

Varsity: Thur 6-7:30pm @ ASA

Field Practice: JV & Varsity: Sun @ Menlo Atherton 3:30-6:00pm
