John Austin Graduated from Saint Francis High School in 2007 where he had previously won the Bay Area’s most courageous athlete award in 2006. John then went onto the College of San Mateo where he won two consecutive conference titles acting as a team captain for the second season.  John then advanced to play in the California State playoffs super regionals in 2009.

John was Awarded first team all conference in the Coast Golden Gate league in 2009, as well as receiving over a dozen division 1 college offers. John choose to continue his baseball play at San Jose State University making over 40 appearances in two years.

John played three years of collegiate summer baseball for the Humboldt crabs in which he won three league title from 2009-2012. Named co-pitcher of the year in 2009. Compiled a record of 19-4 in three years, striking out over 130 batters.
